Egg Royal at Petrossian Restaurant & Boutique, West Hollywood
Singer Kelly Rowland, Real Housewife Lisa Vanderpump and actress Jessica Alba have been known to stop by West Hollywood's roe-centric Petrossian Restaurant & Boutique. The restaurant is home to the egg royal, a soft scrambled egg made with rich vodka crème and chives. But it’s the dollop of extra-luxe Petrossian caviar that really earns this dish a spot on this list.
Eggs Mollet at Le Coq Rico, New York City
Paris import Le Coq Rico has landed in the States with a location in Manhattan’s Flatiron District. Here, three-Michelin-starred chef Antoine Westermann pays tribute to whole-animal poultry with an emphasis on wild and noble American birds. Standout dishes include coq au vin, poule au pot and the artfully-plated eggs Mollet. A whole soft egg is presented vertically, encased by a small round piece of housemade toasted bread on the bottom and one on top. At the table, your server covers the bottom base with velouté (French sauce made from poultry stock and roux), enriched by puréed parsley and chicken jus.
Drunken Deviled Eggs at The Sarsaparilla Club, Miami
Deviled eggs are easy to make, but Top Chef alums Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth play with the ingredients and flavors at Miami's The Sarsaparilla Club, turning the simple picnic food up a notch. On the Asian-slash-American inspired menu are the drunken deviled eggs, dipped in beet juice for that pinkish hue, and served tableside with pickled roots and sunchoke chips on top.
Soy Pickled Egg at Moneygun, Chicago
